Party Previews: Ford Debuts Two Tastefully Tuned Fiesta STs for SEMA

-

As usual, Ford will have a massive footprint at the 2015 SEMA show, showing more than four dozen cars, two of which will be gussied up versions of a car that’s arguably pretty gussied up already, the hot Fiesta ST. Lest they get lost among the fray of SEMA Mustangs and SEMA F-150s and SEMA Explorers/Edges, we’re giving you a preview of them here. We’ll just call it a pre-party, or more accurately, a fiesta before the Fiestas.

Cinemotive Media Fiesta ST

-

Miami-based film specialists Cinemotive Media turned the Fiesta ST into a makeshift film support car that can potentially light a scene with its HID light bar. The engine gets a full raft of upgrades to the turbo and intercooler by Cobb, while Baer provided the six-piston brake calipers and two-piece rotors. Its body kit comes from Fifteen52, while the whole thing is suspended over a set of fat 17-inch wheels by BC Racing coil-overs. If the greenish blue/gold color scheme is replicated in a way that’s even remotely close to the rendering, it’s going to look awesome, although in our experience, film support cars are generally matte black so as not to minimize reflections. We’ll just chalk up this scheme to artistic license.

DSPORT Fiesta ST

-

DSPORT Magazine’s project Fiesta ST ain’t no support car. It is fully ready to hit the track, according to Ford, with Full-Race Motorsports, Mishimoto, BorgWarner, Cobb, CP-Carillo and more contributing bits and pieces, and possibly jacking the 1.6-liter four-cylinder’s output up over 400 horsepower. Keeping it off the ground are KW coil-overs, an Eibach rear anti-roll bar, and 17-inch Volk Racing forged wheels wrapped in Pirelli P Zero performance tires. A roll cage and Sparco-sourced racing seats and a Sparco steering wheel can be found inside.

As with the Cinemotive entry, the body kit is sourced from Fifteen52, and the whole thing is painted “molten lava.” Ford says that DSPORT has prepped the car to compete in the Pirelli World Challenge Touring Car class, albeit in a 300-hp state of tune, per the rules of engagement.
